The project signed by studio Barreca & La Varra saw Las contribution for furnishing 300 sqm.
Ugolini s.p.a is an Italian historic company producing slush machines, machines for icecream making, cold product dispensers and soluble products dispensers. Thanks to the well established collaboration with studio Barreca & La Varra, Las contributed to the design and realization of the new management and production headquarter. An area with a total surface of 63.000 sqm.
There was the need to furnish a surface of 3000 sqm of office space in a rigorous, neat way. The building, extended over two floors, has four entrance lobbies, two of which are double height and therefore very bright thanks to zenithal lighting. In their turn, they divide the inner spaces, which are designed following an open space model.
In this project by Studio Barreca & La Varra, the inside featured a sober matching of elegant materials, used with extreme refinement and care for the details, with ongoing combinations between wood and glass. Inside spaces are constantly interconnected through wide glass wall units realized in Mood model that make it possible to see all various environments, hereby enabling people in these spaces to see each other.
Moreover, the challenge for Las was to harmoniously counterpose the transparency of the industrial product of the D2 double glass wall to the fullness of the “artisanal” product of the veneered wooden wall with “flush with the wall” doors and soundproof wooden covering. Customized wooden wall units were also used in the bathrooms, to create an elegant, refined environment. A valuable work, so much so it was selected for participating in the Best Italian Interior Design exhibition, organized by Casa Platform and taking place at the same time as the Biennale di Venezia 2021.
